Change of leadership at Cerealto

Cerealto continues to promote its transformation and growth plan with the appointment of Bosco Fonts as new general manager. Fonts has more than 30 years of experience in the agri-food industry in Spain.

Bosco Fonts has held various leadership positions in multinationals (PepsiCo, Galletas LU, Danone, United Biscuits), as well as in leading family businesses in Spain (Aneto, La Piara -Nutrexpa- or Leche Ato).

In the last 10 years he has led an important milestone in the bread and bakery industry, the creation of Monbake. A company resulting from the merger of Berlys and Bellsola, with more than 1,400 jobs and a turnover of 300 million, of which Fonts has been CEO.

Fonts replaces Rut Aranda, who is stepping down as CEO of the company after 20 years.

During April, Rut Aranda will progressively transfer his responsibilities to Bosco, and will join the Cerealto Board of Directors as of 1 May.

Cerealto CEO Cem Karakaş has conveyed his "welcome and support to Bosco Fonts, wishing him every success in this new phase of Cerealto", as well as his "thanks to Rut Aranda for her two decades of commitment to Cerealto and, in particular, for her transformational leadership over the past year". "I am happy to continue working with Rut on the Board of Directors, from where she will support Cerealto's international growth," said Karakaş.

The Company has an investment plan of 40 million euros for the next three years in which it plans to invest more than 40 million euros to strengthen its manufacturing and innovation capacity.
