Supply and animal welfare
We steadfastly believe in a shared framework of excellence that necessitates our suppliers to align with our vision, mission and values.
We have implemented demanding supplier certification and evaluation systems for both raw material and packaging suppliers. This includes comprehensive industrial testing to evaluate the quality of their products, and we mandate successful on-site audits before they can supply us.
Moreover, to ensure ethical conduct, integrity, and responsible practices, our suppliers are required to register on the SEDEX platform. Furthermore, adherence to our Code of Conduct by our suppliers is an essential requirement.
All our production and business activities are governed by law, thereby ensuring that we comply with the very highest standards.
Consumption of egg products from caged hens has been significantly reduced in recent years and Cerealto is committed to gradually reducing it.
Our relationships with egg product suppliers will account for less than 0.26% of all raw materials used in 2022 and less than 0.20% in 2024.
We will continue to work to gradually reduce the sourcing of egg products across our global operations. We have already met and exceeded our commitment to reduce by 10% in 2023, reaching 12%. We have also met our commitment to reduce by 50% in 2024 and will continue to work towards a 100% reduction by the end of 2025 compared to 2020.
