The new owners of Cerealto Siro and the president of the Regional Government reaffirm their commitment to the future of the company in Castilla y León

The president of the Junta has met with the new owners of Cerealto Siro. At the meeting, the company presented its plans for the future and the Autonomous Administration confirmed its willingness to continue supporting investments in Castilla y León.

The president of the Junta de Castilla y León, Alfonso Fernández Mañueco, has received today the representatives of the new owners of Cerealto Siro Foods, an agri-food company that employs about 2,700 people in Castilla y León. This is the first institutional meeting with the new owners of the company based in Venta de Baños, after its sale last summer, which has allowed to face the difficult financial situation it was going through.

During the meeting, the representatives of the new owners explained to the president of the Board the basic lines of action they are carrying out, as well as the priorities of the new owners to convert Cerealto Siro into a competitive company with a profitable and sustainable business model.

Among other issues, they addressed the challenges Cerealto Siro faces in a context of unprecedented inflation, with the costs of energy and raw materials skyrocketing. Both parties expressed their intention and willingness to continue to maintain open channels of dialogue and collaboration that result in the generation of wealth in Castilla y León.
