Worksop, 4 September 2020 – Cerealto Siro Foods has been recognised by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for its high standards of health and safety. Specifically, Worksop’s Cerealto Siro Foods factory in the UK has received the RoSPA Gold Award in recognition of its health and safety performance during 2019.
The RoSPA Health and Safety Awards have been presented annually since 1956 and receive nearly 2,000 candidatures from organisations around the world competing for the highest recognition of the UK’s oldest health and safety awards.
With this award, RoSPA recognises the work done by Cerealto Siro Foods at its Worksop plant and its ongoing commitment to raising health and safety standards in the Gold category.
Jason England, Managing Director UK, expressed his pride and satisfaction with this award “RoSPA’s awards are the most prestigious in the industry in the UK and are known worldwide for demanding the highest standards in implementation”, praising the work of Worksop’s factory colleagues, “it is a recognition and a direct consequence of all the effort our factory has made in Health and Safety in all areas and at all levels. There has been immense involvement and commitment, including extensive training, structured reviews, accident investigation and proactive identification of risks and accident prevention, focusing on both hazards and behaviours”.
Julia Small, RoSPA’s Head of Qualifications, Awards and Events, said “The RoSPA awards programme is the UK’s longest running industry programme, receiving applications from organisations all over the world, making it one of the most sought-after global health and safety awards. RoSPA wants all employees, wherever they are, to work safely in the knowledge that they will return home safely at the end of each day. The winners of the RoSPA Award are vital in helping to achieve this goal, as by participating they are raising standards and setting new benchmarks for organisations around the world. Currently, around 7 million people are directly affected by the RoSPA Awards, but the impact of the programme is even greater.”
For Cerealto Siro Foods health and safety is one of its main values, and it has a rigorous Health and Safety Policy to ensure the safety of all its employees.
