In the framework of International Women’s Day, Rut Aranda, CEO of Cerealto, a global food manufacturer, reinforces the Company’s commitment to ensuring equal opportunities for all.
Cerealto has currently over 1,800 employees, from 20 different nationalities, 57% of which are men and 43% women. Likewise, 60% of the management team is composed of women, demonstrating the company’s commitment towards equality in leadership positions.
“At Cerealto we have a zero tolerance policy with regard to gender, race, age, sexual orientation or ideology-based discrimination. Although multiculturalism presents a great challenge for organizations, we must understand that we live in a pluralistic world and that diversity can only enrich the corporate dynamic once it is assimilated in the corporate culture”, said Rut.
Cerealto’s commitment is also towards the incorporation of people with barriers to work. Currently, 6.5% of its employees comes from these groups.
In 2018, Cerealto plans to create 200 new jobs mainly in Portugal and the United Kingdom, according to internal sources of the Company.

CEO at Cerealto since July 2016, a global leading private label food manufacturer present in Portugal, Spain, Italy, the United Kingdom, Mexico and the United States with a workforce of over 1,600 people. Under her leadership, and in just one year, the organization achieved a 67% growth of its turnover, to expand and enter new markets, and to consolidate strong alliances with key business partners. Rut has also promoted the integration of multicultural teams and initiated the standardization of the company’s ways of working and processes.
Prior to this role, she occupied other leadership positions in Cerealto, such as Market Director for the Northern Europe and Americas regions.
Rut has a Degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Lerida and in Advanced Management from IE Business School in Madrid (Spain). She also obtained a Degree in General Management from Harvard Business School in Cambridge, Massachussets (USA).
