Cerealto and the VB1 Works Committee confirm that, after months of intense dedication to finding a solution for the biscuit plant in Venta de Baños, they have reached an agreement to keep the factory open.

This has been possible thanks to the willingness, work and joint effort of Cerealto and the VB1 Works Committee and the support of the Venta de Baños Town Council, the Junta de Castilla y León and the Ministry of Industry, Tourism and Trade.

During the workers' vote held on Friday 4 August, the agreement between Cerealto and the centre's collaborators was ratified. It includes the measures to ensure the productive activity of the centre in which, at present, approximately 200 people work directly.

The agreement includes an investment plan, which will take shape in the coming months and will involve progressive improvements to the factory's facilities and machinery.
