Cerealto has submitted its claim to the Guinness World Record authorities.
Cerealto, the global food manufacturer, recently gathered together 120 of its workers in a cutting edge R&D Centre, I+dea, in order to produce the world’s biggest biscuit assortment in a record time.
In less than two hours, 13 teams managed to make 26 varieties of biscuit that were up to 40cm x 85cm in size and which were representative of the range made by the company. They varied from chocolate chip and digestive biscuits to wafers and sandwich-type biscuits. This was done with the aim to produce the world’s biggest biscuit assortment.
The huge cardboard box containing the biscuits measured 3m x 3m and was made with the help of Europac, a leading European packaging producer and the company’s main supplier of boxes.
Luis Ángel López, Cerealto’s CEO, said: “this event has given us the chance to experience first-hand what our company does on a daily basis, from developing a new idea to the launching of this product in the market. Making an attempt to set a Guinness record is simply an excuse to remind our staff that we must continue being great dreamers”.
This feat was celebrated at the end of Cerealto’s 2015 Annual Meeting at which workers from different countries, such as the United States, Mexico, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Italy and Spain gather together every year.
