The multinational Cerealto has reached an agreement with the Spanish Company Grupo Siro to acquire two of its factories in Spain, one of which is for sliced bread production in Antequera (Málaga) and the other one for pastries production in Briviesca (Burgos). This way Cerealto becomes a supplier in the manufacturing of multiple categories of cereal-based products and expands rapidly in Southern Europe. This operation couples with the recent acquisition of a biscuit factory in Mem Martins, Portugal.
The agreement entails the formal commitment of Cerealto to maintain 100% of the job positions in both factories as well as all the labour conditions and seniority of the 600 colleagues.
Aligned with its sustainability policy, Cerealto will continue to work with local suppliers, fulfilling all previous commitments with Grupo Siro’s suppliers, which will contribute to the production capacity of both factories. Likewise, Cerealto will incorporate the new projects of its clients in Spain and other international markets.
